The time is near. Currently I am taking EDU697 and EDU698, both classes are in preparation for the final class of my Masters in Education program. EDU697 is called Capstone Research Methods. In this class I am learning about the different types of research methods that are out they and can assist greatly in achieving desired results.We are working on planning, conducting and evaluating qualitative and quantitative research. It is a very intense class with discussion boards that are very engaging.The following is taken from my BlackBoard:
EDU 697 emphasizes the evaluation of educational research and the similarities and differences between the major research approaches in the design and development of their capstone project. You will develop an understanding of the foundations of educational research and their origins, the nature of educational research, paradigms underlying the different major educational research approaches, the process of educational research, quantitative and qualitative educational research basics, and critical issues in conducting educational research for your capstone project.
And....If that is not interesting enough, parallel I am in EDU698 where I am starting to piece together my Capstone Plan which ultimately will be created and published in the final course EDU699. Lots of work but it is all worth it.

Students will design a Capstone Project at the end of the M.Ed. program to demonstrate that they have met specific chosen outcomes.
