Looking for YOU!

I did not know what autism is.
I only heard the word autism a handful of times.
I just saw one billboard about autism.
I still did not know what autism is.
Back then I remember seeing 1 in 1,000 or something like that.
Now it is 1 in 59!
And not so long ago it was 1 in 125 when my son was officially diagnosed.
Then I remember posting I love my 1 in 88..
Then 1 in 68...
Now, 1 in 59 children are on the autism spectrum.
Read that again, 1 in 59!
What do you think is going on?

Please comment and share.

I would love your input.

From there I will formulate a more concise blog post.

  1. Whatever it might be, I know it isn't vaccinations. My son was autistic way before he had any vaccinations. If there IS a link, I would think it could possibly be a culmination of the vaccinations of several generations. I had all my vaccinations, and my husband had TONS of them in the military. So did my parents. My family is FULL to the brim with vaccines. So I suppose that could be a factor. But my son didn't become autistic because HE got vaccines. Just want to put that out there. My husband sees it that autism is actually a superior way of thinking, and is maybe human evolution trying to improve itself, and the fine details have not been worked out yet. I tend to agree. My son, although he approaches things differently, is the smartest person I've ever known, seriously. Maybe this is nature's way of making sure our species survives. It's definitely a beautiful thing.
